The Foretelling

The very first episode. The very first series. The very first Black Adder. That's a lot of firsts to cover in just 31 minutes, but cover they do. The episode starts with a StarWars-esque running of words explaining the time and location in which the tale is set. The narrator (?) informs those who can hear but can't read of the tale as well. And what is the tale, you inquire, for you cannot see the screen as I can at this moment. Or maybe you can, how should I know? I am not Uri Geller (and thank God, Krishna, Buddha and Johnny Depp I'm not). Well this is a tale of a great King, his large-mouthed nephew and a quite famous battle that would be told best through the woven fabric of a certain tapestry that not even the gaudiest footballer's wife would want to own, but of course the tapestry is wasted upon another battle which is nowhere near as interesting save for a funny incident involving an arrow through someone's eye.
